POSITION SUMMARY The Production Assembler will be responsible for the daily work associated with the assembly of pumps by the Production Manager or team lead.

Requirements

  • Experience 1-year minimum manufacturing and material handling experience preferred
  • Education High school diploma or equivalent
  • Perform positions on the production line within established standard time requirements (to be demonstrated at any time, without notice)
  • Calculate any required metrics
  • Understanding of electronic assembly
  • High attention to detail
  • Read and understand standard work instructions
  • Maintain tools on production line
  • Maintain and understand 6S on primary line, while respecting it for all other lines
  • Train new employees
  • Perform shop mathematics, read complex specs, and understand principles of pump operation
  • Plan and perform multiple sequence of operations of the product line
  • Perform multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

  • Work on production line, pay attention to instructions from supervisor/line lead who directs the flow of work ensuring the pace meets expectations
  • Monitor metrics as assigned (production measurements)
  • Communicate any defects or other problems to supervisor/line lead using data, clearly describe the defect in detail so that improvement can be implemented
  • Responsible for meeting customer expectation of performance, quality, on-time delivery, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all production material is available on the line
  • Responsible for working 5S on the line always enforcing best practice
  • Complies with required use of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Participates in operational excellence processes (continues improvement events, RIE’s)
  • Perform assembly related to sub-assemblies and pumps
  • Perform inspections to insure units are functioning properly
  • Maintain accurate records
