The Production Operations/QA department is responsible for maintaining S&C's reputation for quality products, integrating the latest technology, and adhering to high standards to solidify customer trust in their equipment for future energy challenges, striving for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly operations.
  • Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.
  • Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures and read assembly prints.
  • Willingness to assist in other areas and support the team where needed to meet production goals.
  • Attention to quality and detail, with a commitment to producing work that meets specifications and standards.
  • High school Diploma or GED Required

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9’ x 4’ x 4’.
  • Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 35 lbs. without equipment assistance).
  • Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure.
  • Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes, if required.
