Requirements

  • Must have strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings and procedures.
  • Must be able to build complex assemblies/racks using drawings or detailed work instructions.
  • Proficiency in cable routing per interconnect diagrams and drawings is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience building assemblies.
  • Experience working with Performance Management Teams (PMTs) to identify process improvements.
  • Strong defect recognition skills and the ability to interact with peers and support team to improve build processes.
  • Experience working on manufacturing flow lines with multiple team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Work from diagrams and drawings, using jigs, hand and/or power tools.
  • Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and/or reassemble products according to Manufacturing Engineering instructions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine the appropriate components and assembly procedures.
  • Cut, strip, and crimp wires to specified lengths and sizes.
  • Assemble connectors, terminals, and other components onto wires and cables.
  • Build subassemblies, such as harnesses, wire bundles, and cable assemblies, according to customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of injury.
  • Meet production goals and quotas while maintaining high levels of quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to solve production problems and improve processes.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies, techniques, and industry standards in cable assembly.
