About The Position

Qarbon Aerospace is seeking a Sr. Assembler who will perform a variety of assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies and/or build parts for such assemblies, according to work instructions. The role requires making setups and adjustments while holding tolerance to blueprint and work instructions specifications. The assembler may also perform complex tests on fluids and electrical systems, checkouts, troubleshooting, and rework on components, instruments, and assemblies. Additionally, the assembler may prepare reports and suggest improvements and modifications based on collected data. Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other controlled procedures is also part of the job. The assembler will assist with inventory and cycle counts as needed. The position also includes responsibilities as an Inspector Senior, where the employee must perform inspections of assemblies/detail parts for compliance with applicable drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. The inspector must possess an eye for defect identification and document discrepancies per applicable procedures. The role involves working from engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures, and instructions, as well as using precision measuring instruments such as ball gauges, height gauges, dial indicators, calipers, pana-metrics, and micrometers. The inspector must be computer literate with skills in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF, etc., and may perform other duties as assigned, including training and assisting employees as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident (i.e., ‘Green Card’) per ITAR guidelines.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience required.
