About The Position

Cox & Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled and outgoing individual to join our team as a Composite and Electrometric Material Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling composite and electrometric materials with complex fixtures and tooling. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in composite and electrometric material assembly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings in English
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble composite and electrometric materials with complex fixtures and tooling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish materials
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Using basic measuring devices such as calipers and scales.
  • Following work instructions and drawings.
  • Drilling composite materials with close tolerance carbide bit drills with the use of air hand drill motors, drill presses or large drill fixtures.
  • Drilling aluminum plates and countersinking holes for different size rivets.
  • Sanding for quality finish of all composites in a vented grinding room, wearing fitted particle masks.
  • Installing nut plate hardware with cherry rivets, with handheld riveters.
  • Mixing a variety of chemical adhesives.
  • Understanding and interpreting manufacturing drawings and manufacturing procedures.
  • Installing manufactured harnesses and crimping lug nuts.
