About The Position

Cox & Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled and outgoing individual to join our team as a Composite and Electrometric Material Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling composite and electrometric materials with complex fixtures and tooling. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in composite and electrometric material assembly preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings in English
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Assemble composite and electrometric materials with complex fixtures and tooling
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish materials
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Using basic measuring devices such as calipers and scales.
Following work instructions and drawings.
Drilling composite materials with close tolerance carbide bit drills with the use of air hand drill motors, drill presses or large drill fixtures.
Drilling aluminum plates and countersinking holes for different size rivets.
Sanding for quality finish of all composites in a vented grinding room, wearing fitted particle masks.
Installing nut plate hardware with cherry rivets, with handheld riveters.
Mixing a variety of chemical adhesives.
Understanding and interpreting manufacturing drawings and manufacturing procedures.
Installing manufactured harnesses and crimping lug nuts.
