About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, performs duties related to assembling standard production and custom components as required on standard and custom vehicles, while maintaining safety, quality, and ISO standards for the completed product.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous assembly experience, preferably in low-speed vehicles.
  • Mechanical and technical skills.
  • Safety management mindset.
  • Focus on quality control.
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
  • Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.
  • Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Follow process method sheets, sales orders, and build specifications to assemble custom golf carts and utility vehicles in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
  • Perform basic fabrication, machining, and welding tasks required to build or modify components for custom vehicles and accessory kits.
  • Install custom kits, accessories, and components onto vehicles based on customer requirements and order configurations.
  • Procure necessary supplies from approved vendors and complete related documentation, including purchase requisitions and receiving reports.
  • Coordinate the routing of components to outside vendors for additional services when required.
  • Prepare parts, kits, assemblies, and completed vehicles for domestic and international shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
  • Complete all shipping documentation, invoices, and related paperwork in compliance with company procedures.
  • Operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely and follow all established safety guidelines; maintain a clean and organized work area and report unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Assist in training and supporting other assemblers, sharing knowledge of processes, tools, and safety practices as needed.
  • Identify and report nonconforming parts, assembly issues, equipment malfunctions, or tool problems to the lead or supervisor for corrective action.
  • Maintains a safe and productive work environment by ensuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms, debris, and other items that may present a hazard.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
