About The Position

At this level the associate is able to perform their job duties independently and operate per standard work. The associate can perform some basic process changeovers and troubleshooting with some guidance or help from a trainer or supervisor. They are able to recognize and solve routine problems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to recognize functional and cosmetic defects.
  • Responsible for the assembly, testing, and packaging of product.
  • Requires the use of assembly equipment, SAP, and standard work.
  • Must be fully qualified as a Level 1 Assembler, having a minimum 3-6 months experience as a Level 1 and meeting all skills/knowledge, performance, and competency requirements.
  • In order to be fully qualified as a Level 2 Assembler must have a minimum 9 months as a Level 2 Assembler and meet all skills/knowledge, performance, and competency requirements to be eligible to move to Assembler Level 3.

Responsibilities

  • Must efficiently perform all Learner level job functions.
  • Performs job functions independently or with minimal assistance from the trainer.
  • Must understand and follow proper part handling procedures.
  • Must understand and follow Swagelok documentation necessary to perform job functions.
  • Able to identify abnormal parts or abnormal equipment operation.
  • Demonstrates product knowledge (basic part numbers, components, materials, and configurations) within the scope of their job family detail.
  • Understands products, processes, and procedures in order to perform job functions to established standards and reduce the risk of quality escapements.
  • Able to answer questions posed on Independent Assembler skills.
  • Demonstrates capability of routine/ minor set-up on basic equipment
  • Understands what role this job plays in the “general strategies” of the company.
  • Understands & follows the safety and housekeeping standards in their work area and daily and weekly maintenance on the equipment.
  • Operates assembly equipment under normal conditions in the trainer’s absence.
  • Understands the importance of material segregation, part identification and part orientation.
  • Communicates with other team members in order to complete assigned tasks.
  • Requests assistance in a timely manner.
