Assembler - Level 1

The Assembler - Level 1 position at KSM Electronics Inc. involves working under the immediate supervision of the Production Supervisor to perform repetitive light assembly duties. The primary goal is to complete assigned work orders in accordance with the assembly work instructions and the Quality Management System. This role is critical in ensuring that products are assembled correctly and meet the established quality standards. As an ITAR facility, KSM Electronics Inc. only hires US persons, defined as US citizens or green card holders, to comply with regulatory requirements. In this role, the assembler will work as part of a team on the assembly line, performing various mechanical tasks as production parts move along the line. The assembler is expected to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other written or verbal instructions to complete the assembly of products or components. The use of a variety of hand and power tools is essential to complete the mechanical assembly of components or products. Additionally, the assembler will prepare products for shipment, which includes counting, measuring, and cutting wire or cable, as well as labeling, stripping, and tinning wire or cable. Crimping wire or cable is also part of the responsibilities. Quality control is a significant aspect of this position, as the assembler will visually inspect products for non-conformances during the manufacturing process and is accountable for product quality. The role may also require operating automatic and semi-automatic machines, such as drill presses, grinders, ribbon strippers, and printing equipment. Maintaining a clean and orderly work station while complying with all safety regulations is crucial. The position may involve additional duties as necessary to support business objectives, and it is designed to guide the activities of the Assembly Operator without limiting their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
