CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay for this position is $23-26/hr. Vacation time accruals. Job Title- Initiator - Assembler To assemble small electro-explosive units with several detailed parts, following standardized methods. Follow detailed procedures for NASA, SpaceX, and other aerospace industry leaders. Assemble hardware from scratch using parts list, custom tooling, and pneumatic press crimping.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working with microscopes small components with large manufacturing lots for several days.
  • Effective English oral and written communication.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must. Especially when working with large manufacturing lots.
  • Missile Defense Agency requires our employees be US Citizen, US Person (permanent resident or granted status as a “protected person” under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (refugee and asylum recipients)
  • Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms requiring a stringent background screening
  • Federal Aviation Administration - mandated drug testing program (prohibits drugs, including marijuana)

Responsibilities

  • Make intricate fittings, detailed epoxy mixing and application, and use digital scales with an understanding that quality and accuracy are paramount.
  • Ability to use basic drawings, procedures, and hand tools to build and troubleshoot ordnance and pyrotechnic assemblies.
  • Attention to detail when using digital scales, measuring devices, and microscopes for small, intricate amounts and sizes.
