About The Position

The Assembler III – Repair Zone is a highly skilled role responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and reworking vehicles within the designated repair zone. This position requires advanced knowledge of assembly processes, troubleshooting, and corrective actions to ensure luxury Class B motorhomes and custom vehicles meet REV Group’s quality, safety, and customer standards before delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in automotive, RV, or custom vehicle assembly/repair required.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to perform precision rework on cabinetry, plumbing, and interiors.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to mentor team members.
  • Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
  • Frequent use of ladders, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Work environment includes exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certification in automotive, electrical, HVAC, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced rework and repairs on completed or in-process vehicles in the repair zone.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, and interior components.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and work orders to complete rework accurately.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to correct defects and provide feedback for process improvements.
  • Ensure all repairs and adjustments meet established quality and safety standards.
  • Document all work performed, including parts used, time spent, and corrective actions taken.
  • Assist with training and mentoring lower-level assemblers in repair and rework techniques.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to 5S practices, company safety guidelines, and OSHA requirements at all times.
