MSA Safety in Jacksonville, North Carolina is seeking energetic individuals to join our team as an Assembler III in a manufacturing environment. This position will report the Production Supervisor. Requirements

  • Proficient in operating hand tools and power tools; experience with gas torches or other heating/burning equipment preferred.
  • Good manual dexterity to reach established production efficiency standards.
  • Mechanical skills, ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Must have no disciplinary action records for any reason at or above the written warning level within the previous twelve months..
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and adherence to all safety regulations.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and write, ability to comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions.
  • lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly and up to 40 lbs when required .
  • stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous MSA experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general assembly and production tasks within the leather department.
  • Operates various machines and hand tools to assemble leather brims and shells.
  • Utilizes heating and burning tools (e.g., torch) to shape helmets as required.
  • Carries out operations such as drilling, riveting, sanding, and finishing (excluding painting).
  • Inspects completed assemblies for quality and defects.
  • Assists with additional assembly and material handling duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Operates a range of equipment including hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
  • Works efficiently to meet established production targets and deadlines.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adheres strictly to all safety protocols and company procedures.
