MSA Safety in Jacksonville, North Carolina is seeking energetic individuals to join our team as an Assembler III in a manufacturing environment. This position will report the Production Supervisor. Requirements

Proficient in operating hand tools and power tools; experience with gas torches or other heating/burning equipment preferred.
Good manual dexterity to reach established production efficiency standards.
Mechanical skills, ability to use hand and power tools.
Must have no disciplinary action records for any reason at or above the written warning level within the previous twelve months..
Solid understanding of safety protocols and adherence to all safety regulations.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to read and write, ability to comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions.
lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly and up to 40 lbs when required .
stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

6 months in a manufacturing environment.
Previous MSA experience.

Responsibilities

Performs general assembly and production tasks within the leather department.
Operates various machines and hand tools to assemble leather brims and shells.
Utilizes heating and burning tools (e.g., torch) to shape helmets as required.
Carries out operations such as drilling, riveting, sanding, and finishing (excluding painting).
Inspects completed assemblies for quality and defects.
Assists with additional assembly and material handling duties as directed by the supervisor.
Operates a range of equipment including hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
Works efficiently to meet established production targets and deadlines.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Adheres strictly to all safety protocols and company procedures.
