About The Position

Eaton's Aerospace Group is seeking an Assembler III for the 1st Shift in Irvine, CA. This role involves performing detailed assembly operations on production and returned assemblies, specifically focusing on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components. The Assembler III will work with minimal supervision, ensuring that all assembly tasks meet specifications and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum three (3) years' previous work experience in Mechanical Assembly.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience within an Aerospace and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Lock wire and safety wire experience.
  • Experience in setup and use of XY plotter, oscilloscopes, and pressure transducer.
  • Solder certification.
  • ESD certification - ElectroStatic Discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed assembly operations on production and returned assemblies.
  • Assemble hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components as specified in applicable documents.
  • Position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences.
  • Measure parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications and customer order requirements.
  • Disassemble and assemble products returned for repair and/or overhaul.
  • Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and soldering iron.
  • Use routing sheets and operating instruction sheets to ensure proper assembly of parts.
  • Perform visual inspections during the assembly process and at completion of assembled units.
  • Determine tooling and special gauging required to complete work.
  • Assist with training new Assemblers.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and keep the work area clean and organized.
