Eaton's Aerospace Group is seeking an Assembler II to join their Interconnect Technology Division in Camarillo, CA. This full-time position involves setting up equipment and processing various assemblies, including standard and special connectors, while following written and verbal instructions. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in manufacturing operations, and offers opportunities for training and assisting junior assemblers.

  • Set up equipment to meet product standards for various assembly processes.
  • Weigh, mix, and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, and molding compounds.
  • Interface with customers as necessary.
  • Follow intermediate drawings and procedures for assembly.
  • Perform connector assemblies with limited supervision.
  • Train and assist Assembler 1s in their tasks.
  • Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts as per work order instructions.
  • Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts according to work order instructions.
  • Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies as per work order instructions.
  • Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shells following work order instructions.
  • Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.
  • Paint components and apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and perform housekeeping duties.
  • Stage materials for shipment as required.
  • Prepare single and shielded wires for termination and crimp contacts to prepared wires.
  • Terminate simple cables to connectors and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
  • Ability to use calculators.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements.
  • Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.
  • Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown.
