Position Summary The Assembler II is responsible for performing moderately complex mechanical and/or electrical assembly tasks in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires a solid understanding of assembly processes, the ability to use hand tools and test equipment, and the capability to work with minimal supervision. The Assembler II may also provide guidance to entry‑level assemblers and assist with troubleshooting production issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Skilled in the use of basic hand tools, measurement devices, and test equipment.
  • Basic computer proficiency .
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift 25 -40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean manufacturing or 5S practices.
  • Previous work in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, automotive, electronics, etc.).
  • Experience performing rework or troubleshooting assembly issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components and subassemblies following detailed work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, soldering equipment, torque tools, and measurement devices to complete work accurately and safely.
  • Perform functional tests, inspections, and verifications to ensure assembled products meet internal and customer quality requirements.
  • Identify and report non‑conforming materials or assembly issues; assist in root‑cause troubleshooting and rework.
  • Document work performed through routers, travelers, and production reporting systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with 5S and safety guidelines.
  • Train or mentor Assembler I teammates as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
  • Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
