What You Will Contribute: Badger Meter is looking for an Assembler ll to join our team in Tulsa, OK. This is a 1st shift position! This individual is responsible for assembling parts according to specified work instructions and/or drawings and exhibits the ability to effectively complete critical component assemblies. This position may be required to rotate throughout the facility in a variety of assembly tasks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of assembly experience
  • Basic computer skills including previous experience with an ERP system and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Enthusiasm and ability to work well in busy environment
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform a forward bending and dexterity test

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or vocational training desired

Responsibilities

  • Participate and Contribute to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost continuous improvement efforts.
  • Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work.
  • Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job and make adjustments when needed on his/her own.
  • Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and when needed seek out additional information from lead or Supervisor.
  • May be responsible for basic training of others in department.
  • Use basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies.
  • Safely use circular saws, deburring tools to complete modified assemblies. (Utility and Flow Only)
  • Accurately use laser etcher, dot peen etcher and engraver to complete modified assemblies to customer specifications. (Utility and Flow Only)
  • Navigate through basic LX screens to identify Inventory requirements and status as needed and utilize system as required to make adjustments.
  • Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workplace
  • Responsible for understanding a wider variety of soldering, gluing and centering to specific tolerances which includes multiple areas/products. (Analytical Technologies Only)
  • Responsible for gas calibrations to test sensors. (Analytical Technologies Only)
  • Able to use function generators and multimeter test equipment. (Analytical Technologies)
