POSITION SUMMARY The Assembler II will perform tasks in potting, assembly and testing tasks for X-ray devices. Additionally, is cross trained in all production lines and able to do basic trouble shooting for all assembly lines. This role follows work instructions closely to ensure that quality standards are met. Additionally, role will ensure that documentation requirements are followed.

Requirements

  • Attention to Detail – must be able to follow written and visual instructions to ensure that assembly meets quality standards
  • Excellent manual dexterity - must be able to use tools to complete manual assembly
  • Results Driven- must be able to complete assembly tasks in timely manner, meeting production needs
  • Judgment - work requires some judgment to efficiently perform the work and determine if an assembled part is acceptable. Most work procedures are specified in advance.
  • Teamwork – must be willing and able to work closely with others in production lines
  • Computer Skills – must be comfortable using the computer to perform testing tasks using the designated software.
  • The Assembler II must be able to read, comprehend, and follow repair work instructions closely.
  • This role must have excellent technical aptitude and must be able to learn product line assembly and testing methods quickly.
  • This role requires excellent communication. A qualified candidate must be able to communicate quality, safety, or other concerns to team members, Supervisors, and other Operations Support staff.
  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience in regulated manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel & ERP system

Responsibilities

  • Follow work instructions and procedures to pot, assemble and test all portable X-ray devices.
  • Kit and assemble by following work instructions
  • Ability to do basic troubleshooting on all assembly lines
  • Provide training support of new associates
  • Documents results according to work instructions and follows Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Identifies quality issues and defects, raises concerns to the attention of the supervisor or manufacturing engineer.
  • Responsible for following the Radiation Monitoring Program and report any violations.
  • Responsible for meeting daily production goals.
  • Responsible for upholding quality, safety and 5S standards.
  • May perform other duties, from time to time, as assigned by supervisor.
