Mercury Marine Assembler II- Electronics (SF2 Final)- 2nd Shift
About The Position
Under moderate supervision, perform a variety of production assemblies that are highly repetitive, simple, and short-cycle mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly following a prescribed routine. They are assembled in a fast-paced environment using small hand tools, screws, torque guns, and other job-related assembly aids per/ Work Instructions. The job involves a testing and packing process after being completed. Work from drawings or specifications and may interface with engineering. May rotate stations in a work cell and/or is expected to have mastery of all steps in a process. At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have normal to high manual dexterity skills
- Must be able to use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses, and torque guns. Some hand tools require the operator to be ambidextrous
- Moderate lifting up to 50lbs, lifting assistance is provided when necessary
- Fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping small, medium, and large parts
- Operator must have a full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back to perform job duties
- Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Computer literate
- Must have the ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication is required.
Responsibilities
- Mechanically inclined with basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills
- Work in a team environment, follow directions, read work instructions, and prepare packing materials
- Gather materials, select programs, change fixtures, and adjust the test machine to perform tasks
- Perform difficult assembly tasks while standing for the shift duration
- Run parts, inspect for defects, troubleshoot, and communicate issues as they arise, and make required adjustments
- Employee may be required to train on other shifts
- Expected to work safely and follow company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
