About The Position

Provide production support to Assembly Department, producing parts according customer specifications and the internal procedures of Future Form Manufacturing with an emphasis on internal and external customer service. Successful operators will place high emphasis on internal and external customer service including premium quality manufactured components that meet customer’s expectation.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed verbal instructions
  • Ability to read and understand shop orders, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to operate machinery in various departments
  • Manual dexterity
  • Must have own tools within 90 days

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate plus relevant vocational training (e.g. sheet metal work)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform basic setups in a variety of departments
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and graphs using Excel or the equivalent
  • Ability to create and file Work documents
  • Additional math skills relating to algebra, geometry and/or trigonometry

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines as directed, according to the instructions of supervisor or lead, to produce parts according to specifications. May include but not limited to:
  • Riveting
  • Assembly
  • Ability to operate hand power tools (drills, table saw, rivet gun, impact gun, etc).
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to perform frequent repetition of specific tasks with consistency and attention to detail as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Must have the ability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Have first article bought off by qualified employee, lead, supervisor, or inspector
  • Check parts regularly for accuracy
  • Ensure and record accurate counts
  • Maintain efficient production times
  • Maintain proper documentation on all assignments in coordination with Quality Assurance
  • Ensure work is documented accurately including clock-in & clock-out
  • Have parts properly prepared to hand off to the next process
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with supervisor, lead and co-workers
  • Notify lead of any material or mechanical issues
  • Willing to work overtime when needed
  • Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentation 
  • Participate actively and positively in Lean activities
  • Assist other team members as required
  • Perform daily maintenance as needed
  • Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
  • All other duties as assigned
