Job PurposeAs an Assembler at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and a manufacture of advance portable power solutions, assemble electronics components accurately according to specifications and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of experience as an Assembler
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions in English
  • Assemble small objects in limited assembly space
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble batteries, chargers, and accessories by hand, hand tools, or simple automatic tools following supervisor’s directions and work instructions.
  • Performs various types of assembly including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering at an introductory level.
  • Assemble electronic components by apply/cut tape, glue cells, strip wires, apply tie wraps, install screws, and apply labels to shipping boxes.
  • Perform single station computer-based functional tests or use simple electrical equipment to perform functional test.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and report damaged equipment; contact supervisor/line leader if supplies are needed.
  • Clean and inspect assembles and/or sub-assemblies in conformance to manufacturing quality standards and initial products as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
