About The Position

The Assembler I performs inspection of products manufactured on the SMT line using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment. This role involves verifying product compliance to workmanship standards, ensuring process compliance to AOI programs, and maintaining the integrity of collected data. The Assembler I is responsible for communicating defects to relevant personnel for program enhancement and to assembly operators for immediate action. The position requires adherence to all ESD and Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements and support for ISO standards related to NEOTech's Quality Management Systems, including quality, environment, health, safety, and security. Additionally, the role supports corporate and site 6S objectives and performs other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing systems
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment and procedures.
  • Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.
  • Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8 workmanship standards Level I
  • Ability to support a minimum of 2-4 customer products while maintaining quality and production standard requirements.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low-level complexity.
  • Ability to follow established procedures on routine work.
  • High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • 6-12 months of related experience.
  • Experienced using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office products

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for an ISO9000n or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling.
  • Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
  • Verify product compliance to workmanship standards as documented in work instructions.
  • Verify process compliance to established AOI programs.
  • Verify integrity of data collected by machinery.
  • Communicate defects not captured by equipment to responsible personnel for enhancement of program integrity.
  • Communicate to assembly operators defects being noted during the AOI program review.
  • Support and follow all ISO standards related to NEOTech's various Quality Management Systems.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.
