Located in York, PA, GEA Group is seeking an Assembler I to join their Production Team. This role involves performing electrical and mechanical assembly of units, including limited troubleshooting, testing, and preparing units for shipment within a Lean Six Sigma environment. The position is semi-skilled, requiring an elementary specialization and a sufficient understanding of simpler operating or office routines at a novice or elementary journeyman level, potentially involving the use of simple equipment or minimal operation of more complex machinery.

Requirements

Vocation Training or Less than 2 related assembly experience
Basic math skills
Comprehension of safety rules
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred

Responsibilities

Performs all operations in the manufacture of standard compressor packages to required specifications and budgets.
Performs all mechanical assembly in the manufacture of compressor packages not welding related.
Performs all testing required per drawing instruction and special specifications.
Performs all operations necessary to prepare and paint standard product.
Assembles control panels.
Mounts control panel and installs the wire harness.
Performs control panel check out.
Performs other duties as assigned (for Standard Compressor Packages).
Performs all operations to required specifications and budgets (for CNC Plasma Cutting Equipment and Quickmill Machining Center).
Performs required programming (for CNC Plasma Cutting Equipment and Quickmill Machining Center).
Loads raw materials (for CNC Plasma Cutting Equipment and Quickmill Machining Center).
Unloads cut parts, deburr as necessary (for CNC Plasma Cutting Equipment and Quickmill Machining Center).
Performs routine daily maintenance (for CNC Plasma Cutting Equipment and Quickmill Machining Center).
Performs other duties as assigned (for CNC Plasma Cutting Equipment and Quickmill Machining Center).
