About The Position

The Assembler I will build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). This role requires following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies. Responsibilities include visual inspections of material before and after assembly, and using various fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair products. The Assembler I will also inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards, making necessary adjustments to meet quality goals. Adherence to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations is essential, along with providing process and safety improvement ideas. The position also involves ensuring machines and tools are properly calibrated and performing housekeeping duties using the principles of 5S+.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
  • Basic proficiency with computers, including data entry and system navigation
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to distinguish colored wiring
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Previous experience in product assembly, electrical assembly, maintenance, and /or repair
  • Soldering experience

Responsibilities

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Build sub-assemblies and assemblies using standard operating procedures.
  • Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
  • Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
  • Adhere environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
  • Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.
