Assembles and installs pipe systems, pipe supports for industrial production and processing systems while referring to blueprints and other documentation. Other related duties as assigned.
Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
Measures and marks pipe for cutting and threading according to specifications
Cuts pipe, using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine
Threads pipe, using pipe threading machine
Assembles and installs a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron,
steel, copper, and plastic
Connects pipes, using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools
Secures piping to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools
Install insulation in various product types, utilizing respiratory protection as required.
Assist with paint shop assembly, pre & post painting unit.
Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects
Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.
Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirement
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Requires a minimum of one year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of hand and power tools and proper use
Ability to read and use tape measure accuracy
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered
