About The Position

Entry-level assembly. Provides primary assembly for Wanner Engineering core products (i.e. D03, D10, D25, D35) learning to build a complete pump from raw shaft to total pump, with a focus on quality, throughput and continuous improvement. The learning process takes approximately 6-18 months to become completely trained in majority of core product assembly areas. Essential Functions include: 1. Work with assembly team to review daily dispatch and to identify daily production goals while accomplishing the goals in a quality driven environment. 2. Focusing on core products, assemble all components at various stations to a standard bill of materials with an acceptable level of quality and expected volume of throughput. 3. Be willing to learn other areas such as parts washing, material movement, kits, test, etc. as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the production area in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated capability to work with computer software including ERP, (Excel or Word beneficial.)
  • Demonstrated capacity to interpret 12-digit alpha numeric configuration string.
  • Mature, energetic, self-starter who is a team player.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to offer ideas for improvement.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to accept change.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use hands and various tools to assemble parts
  • Commit to procedures mandated by ISO QMS.
  • Maintain professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Treat coworkers with respect and dignity.
  • Be punctual and practice good attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an ISO 9001:2008 environment beneficial.
  • Experience with a Material Resource Planning (MRP) system beneficial.
  • Awareness of 5S, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement efforts, etc. a plus.
