This is an entry level position under the direction of the Production Supervisor with frequent guidance from a Senior Production Associate of the felt value stream; responsible for the assembly of high-quality Architectural Systems (Standard, Adaptive, and/or Lighting).

Requirements

  • Possess basic arithmetic skills
  • Possess knowledge of personal computers skills.
  • Communication and people skills; team player willing to learn.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (i.e., ability to wear required PPE, work in a dusty, hot, non-climate-controlled environment; with stairs, frequent walking, standing and occasional lifting of material).
  • Ability to work off shift hours in support of plant initiatives.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in core production roles within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transactions in Shop-Trak; providing updates status on projects, material moves, and scrap for all assembly & packing operations
  • Collect parts and supplies for assembly and packing processes; conduct Inventory of tools, parts, and supplies and resupply as needed
  • Uses various hand tooling while performing assembly and packing operations efficiently IAW quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Works with peers to Identify product defects and report necessary nonconformances to Senior Production Associate, Supervisor, and/or Quality Inspector
  • Works with peers to perform reworks/repairs IAW industry best practices and/or engineering instructions
  • Works with peers to coordinate movement assembled parts and/or products to the next step operation
  • Prepare, Assemble, Package, and Label completed projects for shipping
  • Unload, receive, and store raw materials and supplies
  • Completes work as required to meet production and schedule requirements
  • Follows safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Maintains equipment and work areas; cleans and performs basic repairs as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned.
