Job Title: Assembler I Location: South Chesterfield, VA Shift: 3 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. or later depending on completion of production What we’re looking for: We are looking for an Assembler I who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high quality Glass, Doors, Frames and Subcomponents. What you’ll be responsible for in this role: Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions. Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment. Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs Notifies / communicates with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification. Assist assembly groups with problem solving Makes recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 -2 years of production assembly work
  • Basic reading/writing skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of 6S
  • Ability to read and understand all job specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time

Responsibilities
