SUMMARY Installs components in panels and switch panels. Reads electrical schematics and terminates power and control wiring. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts and switch panel layouts
  • Read and interpret Integra acknowledgements for special requirements that are not noted in the electrical schematics and panel layouts
  • Panel component installation and labeling per panel layouts and Integra acknowledgement
  • Measure, cut and terminate power wiring per electrical schematics. Component terminations include but are not limited to: Circuit Breakers Contactors Power Distribution Blocks Phase Monitors Fuse Blocks
  • Measure, cut and terminate control wiring per electrical schematics. Component terminations include but are not limited to: Control Boards Transformers Fuse Blocks Current Sensor Phase Monitors Contactors Alarm Inputs and Run Proofs Relays Time Delays Pin Strips Exhaust Fans
  • Install components in switch panels per switch panel layouts. Component terminations include but are not limited to: Indicator Lights Toggle Switches Fuses Switch covers
  • Measure, cut and terminate switch panel wiring per switch panel layouts
  • Understand and perform torque requirements for all components
  • Through the door disconnect installation
  • Controller installation and wiring per specifications
  • Accurate completion of production / quality hand-off documents
