Requirements

  • Preferred 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Preferred high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements
  • Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, screw guns, and caulk guns
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
  • Successful completion of the drug and background screening

Responsibilities

  • Confers with liaison personnel to determine assembly priorities
  • Installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in vehicles.
  • Conducting diagnostics to identify issues within the HVAC system, which includes checking components such as compressors, condensers, and evaporators, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to ensure that the systems operate efficiently and to standard.
  • Reads blueprints and engineering specifications to plan assembly of structures
  • Cuts and trims parts according to layout, using hand tools and portable power tools, such as grinders and plasma torches.
  • Fits and assembles component structural parts preparatory to final assembly using hand and power tools.
  • Installs various components onto structures using hand and power tools
  • Reworks assembled structures according to engineering specification changes.
  • Performs other work as assigned
