Summary: Responsible for preparing various component types and devices to be kitted for installation into electronic circuit boards.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job.
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Constantly walk, finger, grasp, feel 90-100% of the time; frequently stoop, reach, push, lift, talk, hear and do repetitive motions 60-90% of the time.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
  • Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.
  • Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The Team Member is frequently (60-90% of the time) in a small enclosed room to perform their duties.
  • Safety is a core responsibility of this position. Team members are expected to perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and established procedures. This includes wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), participating in safety training, immediately reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, and stopping work when unsafe conditions exist. All employees are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and for actively contributing to the prevention of workplace injuries and accidents.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
  • The Team Member is required to work overtime on as needed.

Responsibilities

  • set-up, verify, and use tools and equipment in area to prepare components for production assembly
  • set-up and run jobs in area using manufacturing instructions
  • capable of identifying work order, assembly number, and revision level of assembly
  • follow process for 1st piece inspection and in-process audits
  • identify different component types and polarity markings
  • complete computer transactions for moving kit from stockroom to production floor
  • identify, segregate and disposition non-conforming material
  • uses proper material handling techniques to ensure component reliability and to avoid damaging components
  • identify and use appropriate machines or tools required
  • identify primary and secondary stock location of parts
  • follow appropriate method of requesting changes, corrections or clarification to manufacturing instruction
  • measure prepped components with appropriate measuring tools. This includes knowing where to take the measurements from and how meniscus on leads affects how to measure
  • pull parts from stockroom and overflow locations based on pick list
  • provide part short fills for production floor
  • general machine cleaning and upkeep per Standard Operating Procedures
