About The Position

The Lighting and Imaging Business Unit of SCHOTT offers smart solutions for light delivery and image transmission in demanding environments, including medical devices, industrial, safety, aviation, and automotive applications. As a leading supplier of high-quality fiber optic and LED components with manufacturing sites in Europe and North America, the company is seeking an Assembler to contribute to the preparation, building, and inspection of standard multi and multi/multi assemblies.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and results oriented.
Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.

Responsibilities

Prepares builds and inspects standard multi and multi/multi assemblies.
Prepares workstation, fixtures and tooling.
Obtains boxes of fibers, channels, and moves completed assemblies to staging area.
Performs routine types of basic and routine multi, multi-multi operations.
Performs visual inspection of each fiber and of assemblies in process.
Performs routine repair operations.
Performs ultrasonic cleaning functions.
Meets utilization targets and standard times.
Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.
