Purpose of Position Assembles electronic components, assemble modules, subassemblies, harnesses, panels, power supplies and cables.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
3 years shop and/or assembly experience perferred.
Thorough knowledge and use of all applicable electronic assembly hand tools, automatic and manual--Crimpers, Luggers, Wire strippers, etc.
Ability to focus, attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Continuously required to move about the facility
Standing periodically for long periods of time
Pushing, pulling and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
Must be willing and able to perform tasks outside of the normal job scope as needed.
Work is performed in both a controlled climate environment
Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Nice To Haves

Soldering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assembles electronic components, assemble modules, subassemblies, harnesses, panels, power supplies and cables.
Basic understanding of electrical components, circuits and systems.
Ability to read and interpret simple electrical diagreams, schematics and assembly instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment and basic assembly tools.
Pull, measure and cut cable to length on cable and harness.
Connects component lead wires and between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
Visually inspect internal and external components.
Ability to perform basic electical testing and identify defects.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work.
Comfortable working with small components and wiring.
