Purpose of Position Assembles electronic components, assemble modules, subassemblies, harnesses, panels, power supplies and cables.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years shop and/or assembly experience perferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and use of all applicable electronic assembly hand tools, automatic and manual--Crimpers, Luggers, Wire strippers, etc.
  • Ability to focus, attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Continuously required to move about the facility
  • Standing periodically for long periods of time
  • Pushing, pulling and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
  • Must be willing and able to perform tasks outside of the normal job scope as needed.
  • Work is performed in both a controlled climate environment
  • Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Nice To Haves

  • Soldering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles electronic components, assemble modules, subassemblies, harnesses, panels, power supplies and cables.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components, circuits and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple electrical diagreams, schematics and assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment and basic assembly tools.
  • Pull, measure and cut cable to length on cable and harness.
  • Connects component lead wires and between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Visually inspect internal and external components.
  • Ability to perform basic electical testing and identify defects.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work.
  • Comfortable working with small components and wiring.
