1st Shift GHG 1 Box Cut & Scrap - Assembler/Disassembler L3
About The Position
This position is responsible for removing precious metals from a GHG 1 Box by way of the established remanufacturing process. Associate is responsible for removing Core from shipping box by use of hoist, disassembling the shipping box, operating a plasma cutter to remove precious metal bricks, and loading the finished product onto trailer to be shipped. Requirements
- Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools
- Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must maintain a clean work area.
- Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
- Cross train on other jobs as required
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
- Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
- Previous mechanical experience
- High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
- Remove Core from shipping box- with use of hoist
- Disassemble box used for shipping
- Push & pull cart into cutting room
- Use plasma cutter to cut core for removal of bricks- wear required PPE during the process
- Identify & place bricks in appropriate containers
- Load & unload core onto trailer
- Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
- Adhere to established work rotation plan
- Complete training matrix for each rotation position
- Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
- Other tasks and/or duties as requested
- Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
- Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks
- Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
- Operate the following tools and equipment: Plasma Cutter, Hand tools, Hoist, Pallet Jack and Forklift

- Starting pay of $20.70/hr. up to top pay of $29.21/hr.
