About The Position

The position is responsible for the Complex mechanical assembly of lamination machines and integrated dies. The role involves taking a proactive approach to team safety, maintaining a safe and clean work area, troubleshooting and performing machine assembly while adhering to production and quality standards. The employee will inspect their own work and that of others, read work orders to determine necessary raw materials, wire electrical components, connect power to machines, and use gauging or tooling to set, align, adjust, test, or calibrate assemblies as needed. Additionally, the employee must understand machine functions, perform basic troubleshooting, and handle various paperwork related to production. The role requires the ability to operate milling machines, drill presses, band saws, grinders, and Bridgeport machines, and perform other miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Manufacturing or Maintenance required.
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience required.
  • Prior experience reading complex blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Takes a proactive role in team safety.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work area.
  • Troubleshoot and perform machine assembly, adhering to production and quality standards.
  • Inspects own work and work of others for proper assembly.
  • Reads work order to determine what raw materials/supplies are needed.
  • Wires electrical components according to instructions, specifications, and/or blueprints.
  • Connects power to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Uses necessary gauging or tooling to set, align, adjust, test, or calibrate assemblies as needed.
  • Understand functions of machines, basic troubleshooting, load film, test all media required for performance of machine.
  • Reads, interprets, and fills out Bills of Materials, time tickets, pick lists, production paperwork, scrap tickets, and reject tags.
  • Must lift, crate or package all or any equipment/assembly in the Assembly area as needed.
  • Observes operation of machine to detect malfunctions such as jamming, wrinkling, or misalignment of material.
  • Adjustments made accordingly.
  • Must be able to operate milling machine, drill press, band saw, grinders, and Bridgeport.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
