Job Summary Primarily responsible for through-hole soldering, assembly, and inspection of printed circuit boards (PCBs) in electronic devices. This role focuses on hand-soldering components to meet quality standards, while also assisting with SMT line operation and selective soldering equipment as needed. Work is performed using precision tools and must follow written or verbal instructions, drawings, or diagrams.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person”
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to share and receive instructions, updates, and general information.
  • Demonstrates proven experience in PCB soldering, with a solid understanding of electronic components and circuit design.
  • Proficient in using soldering tools, microscopes, and testing equipment.
  • Maintains high attention to detail and handles fine electronic components with care.
  • Exhibits excellent hand/eye coordination required for precise work.
  • Regularly uses hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate small components and tools
  • Demonstrates strong concentration and attention to detail
  • May require lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of experience in the field of electronics/soldering

Responsibilities

  • Reads and works from detailed process sheets and drawings.
  • Computer skills are required to retrieve drawings, work instructions, and support other job activities.
  • Solders electronic components onto PCBs following technical diagrams and assembly instructions.
  • Conducts visual inspections and uses testing equipment to verify solder joint quality.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots soldering defects, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Applies strong problem-solving skills and works independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Sets up, operates, and maintains machinery according to instructions.
  • Complies with ESD policies, safety practices, ISO procedures, and FOD protection requirements.
  • Accurately enters and maintains production records.
  • Assists in the operation of selective solder machines and SMT line as needed.
  • Performs effectively in a diverse team environment.
