About the position

The Assembler/Assembly Technician role at 22nd Century Technologies, Inc. involves accurately and efficiently assembling and testing products to meet customer quality and delivery schedules. The position requires basic mechanical skills and the use of hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment, contributing to lean initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently assemble/test products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules.
  • Perform lock wiring, first stage subassembly, and final detailing functions on routine assignments requiring limited judgement.
  • Contribute to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Utilize mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Record test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
  • Produce and inspect assemblies that conform to product specifications.
  • Assemble/test to customer and/or industry standards.
  • Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, glaze, etc.
  • Mix paint and clean parts.
  • Identify and provide suggestions on areas for improvement in lean initiatives.
  • Observe all safety rules and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.

Requirements

  • 2 years of assembly experience required.
  • Ability to commute to Fort Worth, TX 76114 is required.
  • Ability to relocate to Fort Worth, TX 76114 before starting work is required.
