This Position reports to: Production Supervisor Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of related manufacturing / shop floor assembly experience required
  • Ability to read and comprehend English assembly instructions, assembly drawings, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to interpret and assemble off of wiring schematics and mechanical layout drawings
  • Requires ability to operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, soldering tools, hand taps and punches, hand trucks, heat guns, a variety of precision measuring devices, a computer and keyboard, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products by following Engineering documents, schematics and layout drawings, ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements
  • Operate computer to check schedules, update manufacturing status of jobs
  • Determine wire routing, cut, strip, label, crimp and terminate wire and secure bundles in accordance with engineering documentation
  • Select proper hardware, and as necessary, drill, tap, punch, cut to mount components in cabinets and on panels
  • Assist in the training of other employees, addressing and resolving inquiries and problems
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
