About The Position

CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories. The primary function of the Wiring Assembler is to provide a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks, eager to learn and grow as a versatile assembler. You will be using general tools such as soldering irons, cutters, wrenches, luggers, component bending tools, power tools and screwdrivers, vacuum equipment, heat guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines and possibly others. (Required to provide own/personal tools) M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays Hourly, non-exempt.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years related wiring assembly experience
  • Experience with electromechanical panel wiring, cabinet wiring, PLCs onto panel enclosures, wire routing
  • Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system)
  • Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions and processes to assemble cables to manufacturing and industry specifications

Nice To Haves

  • 3-4 years wiring assembly experience
  • Familiarity and Certification of IPC 610 & 620 or J-Standards-001
  • Awareness of Lean 6Sigma processes

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of diverse electronic or mechanical production assembly tasks meeting with a consistent level of high skill, knowledge and versatility meeting high quality expectations
  • Solder, assemble, route and secure wiring/cables into subassemblies such as panels and cabinets
  • Work with hand tools and specialty tools as required
  • Perform rework resulting from drawing change notices
  • Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant
  • Develop working knowledge of the production environment
  • Comply with manufacturing code of conduct
  • Prioritize safety, quality, accuracy, and reliability of work performed

  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • Report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects
