About The Position

Performs tasks necessary to assemble cables, subassemblies and/or final assemblies in accordance with drawings, work instructions, work cell designs and shop floor travelers. This position works under direct supervision.

Requirements

• High school degree or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• Requires a basic understanding of blue print reading.
• Able to place parts together as shown on the prints.
• Must be able to frequently lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to dexterously manipulate a variety of sizes of parts repeatedly.
• Ability to operate industry standard hand tools.
• Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assembles parts together as shown on the prints with limited supervision.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
• Utilizes basic Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices where applicable.
• Uses/sets up machines, such as arbor presses, stripping machines, crimping machines, torques wrenches/drivers, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
• Utilize SAP - ME effectively and routinely and has a basic understanding of the Non-conformance (NC) process in ME.
