About The Position

This position’s responsibility is to assemble components used in the production of aircraft and other aerospace products. Duties include reading blueprints, work instructions, training, following instructions from leadership and supervisors, extensive knowledge of multiple part families and assemblies and using hand and power tolls to assemble components. Knowledge of aircraft parts and experience working with a variety of materials and tools. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment is essential. The assembler 2 role requires extensive knowledge of the assembly departments, and the assemblies built.

Requirements

  • Able to read and write English.
  • Able to keep accurate quantity records.
  • Able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints
  • Excellent manual dexterity and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Standing up to 10 hours per day
  • Walking, sitting, hand to finger, handle, grip, feel objects, tools, reaching with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk and hear
  • Occasionally lift up to 35 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include being able to see with 20/20 vision
  • Adhere to the Demgy Pacific attendance point system
  • Adhere to the Demgy Pacific job variance to standard metric
  • Adhere to the Demgy Pacific Safety protocols
  • 2+ years of aerospace or similar manufacturing assembly experience required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Aerospace Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow required procedures for completing work orders and work instructions
  • Assis with priority assemblies and training as needed
  • Maintain communication with the leadership team
  • Identify product defects through a 3-5 second inspection, prior to building parts. If there is an issue with a component, notify leadership
  • Each day you may be assigned to different workstations and parts, flexibility is required
  • Assist in training your co-workers as needed to share your knowledge
  • Test and inspect assemblies as required
  • Follow work instructions and blueprints
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used
  • Maintain lot integrity and quantities during the assembly process
  • Complete work order entries and time log as required
  • Follow company procedures and policies
  • Test assemblies as required
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
  • Train co-workers and assist with priorities as needed
  • Uphold and comply with Demgy's Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • Follow safety policies
  • Contribute to the success of the company's environmental, health & safety program
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers in all departments
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required, following Demgy Pacific’s document and record control procedures as applicable to the position
  • Ensure that housekeeping within the department is properly maintained.
  • Follow Demgy 5S program (workstation organization/locations maintained)
  • Follow policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor
