About The Position

This position assembles generator sets and sub-assemblies that include both standard and non-standard product lines. This will require using hand and power tools and following quality and procedural techniques. This will also include contributing to improving processes, contributing to line efficiency, improving different areas of the assembly line, and other tasks given by the Line Lead or supervisor.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.
  • We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
  • 2 years of assembly experience with heavy duty equipment or 2 years of applicable mechanical experience
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently

Responsibilities

  • Use work instructions, drawings, schematics and equipment used to perform assembly duties of medium complexity in a wider level of work areas (i.e. Line 1 and Large Assembly).
  • Cross train in multiple assembly areas and help in other areas based on necessity.
  • Assist in training new employees learning new work areas on work instructions/standard work.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the products assembled and continuous learning of the principles, practices and processes of their job as changes require.
  • Suggest and implement improvements of existing equipment, designs, and/or processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Contributes to improving processes, lead times and through-put.
  • Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality.
  • Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures and established processes and policies.
  • Resolve problems with assistance from supervisors depending on the level and complexity
  • Provide input on continuous improvement opportunities within the department
  • Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
  • Perform special projects as required
