The Assembler is responsible for producing and assembling mechanical parts according to specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical assembly experience required
  • Must be familiar with portable power tool and machine tools such as a drill press
  • Requires a basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Must have computer familiarity
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee may frequently be required to stand the entire shift
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow daily Manufactured Electronic Scheduler (MES) and other instructions to build and assemble parts in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Make routine inspection of products after assembling
  • Operate small hand and power tools
  • Maintains a 5S work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Participate in continuous improvement through submittal of improvement ideas and working with management and engineering to accomplish improvements
