About The Position

Assembler 2 reads and interprets schematic drawings, blueprints, and diagrams in order to assemble electronic components according to product specifications. Supports production and efficient machine operation under direct supervision. Familiar with standard assembly concepts, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in hand soldering, manually placing small parts or components onto an electrical assembly. Wire bonding experience is a plus.
  • Familiar with following travelers and standard operating procedures as well as follow basics of assembly drawings under direct supervision.
  • Experience using microscopes to inspect products and ensure the highest standard of quality.
  • Ability to work effectively with team of operators, process engineers, and managers towards a common goal.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and operation procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in use of microscope, tweezers, Hand solder, and solder reflow oven.
  • Strong oral comprehension and expression to understand and communicate ideas.
  • High School degree/GED.
  • 2 years related work experience preferred.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates that are U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBA) in a production environment.
  • Prepare components for assembly.
  • Perform rework and repair operations on electronic parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications and released drawings.
  • Follow established Quality Assurance Standards to inspect in process electrical, RF microwave or mechanical components/assemblies by microscope.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings.
  • Train, explain procedures and techniques to other assemblers.
  • Knowledge of current ISO documentation.
  • Confer with supervisors, test technicians, engineers, and quality to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.
  • Complete and maintain J STD 001 (modules 1-4) operator certification.
  • Complete and maintain ESD and FOD awareness certifications.
  • Keep work organized and clean, ensure required tools are in proper working condition and within the calibration cycle.
