About The Position

In 1944, Hickory Springs Manufacturing (HSM) started a small production of furniture springs in Hickory, NC. We are a leading supplier of diversified components for the bedding, furniture, and GSA industries. We also produce polyester fiber batting, formed steel wire, flexible polyurethane foam fabrication. Hickory Springs continues to extend its original product lines to include sleeper mechanisms, adjustable bed bases, roll packed mattresses and fabric encased micro coils. Requirements

• Must have excellent attendance and work record.
• Must be able to write well.
• Must be able to count and do simple math.
• Production assembly a plus.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced production line.
• Must be able to use rivet machine, hammers, pliers, screw drivers, power drill, staple gun, box cutter, banders.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to perform other duties as deemed by management.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components using rivet machines.
• Differentiate between types of components to prevent mixing of products.
• Count Components parts quickly and accurately to identify missing components.
• Attach labels as directed by Forklift Operator, Lead Person, or Supervisor.
• Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
• Ensure parts are not bent, in correct position, and washers are between parts.
