About The Position
Our growing company is seeking to hire an Assembler. As an employee at MEC, you are responsible for assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM products. A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, including working from assembly drawings and specifications, assembling parts with the aid of verbal instructions, prints, or sample parts, and using various types of riveting devices, hand tools, air guns, and power devices to assemble parts. You will also position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements, check parts for quality and accuracy using basic inspection devices such as micrometers, verniers, scales, squares, and gages, and assemble prototypes with Engineering help. Additionally, you will inspect parts for various types of cosmetic specifications, achieve certification in riveting where required, and maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
