About The Position

Hunter Engineering is hiring an Assembler for our manufacturing plant in Raymond, Mississippi. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling metal products, either partially or completely, while working at a bench or on the shop floor. This role requires the ability to fasten parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners, and to operate hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation. The position is for the 1st shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assemble products by fastening parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Ability to operate hand tools or portable power tools.

Nice To Haves

• Willingness and ability to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products by fastening parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Operate hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation.
• Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled and/or following blueprints.
• Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Frequent standing, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
• Observe and follow all safety rules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
