The Assembler position will be responsible for assembling parts and components in order to make a finished good product such as oral care displays and kits for the retail customer.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience assembling components, subassemblies, displays, and kits
  • Prior exposure in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to read, speak and comprehend written work instructions in English
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative when needed
  • High sense of urgency
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask different projects and directions
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs without restriction.

Responsibilities

  • Produces displays and kits by assembling components and subassemblies
  • Produces hand pack components by packing components and subassemblies
  • Follows detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
  • Contributes to team effort by working together to finish a display or kit
  • Reports issues with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to supervisor
  • Lifts up to 40 lbs and works at the front of the line packaging, stacking, building pallets to Pallet Specification Sheet
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Operates material handling equipment including hand pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and utility carts
  • Handles material responsibilities including separating material for work orders and putting away materials in locations when material is ordered
  • Unloads containers with other team members when the De Vanning Team is short staffed.
