About The Position

The ASRS Maintenance Technician role at Publix involves performing preventive maintenance and routine repairs on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), conveyors, and pallet lifts within the distribution center. Technicians are responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of these systems according to company policies and regulations, utilizing various tools and equipment for testing and troubleshooting. This position requires working overnight shifts and may involve physical demands such as lifting and working in varying temperatures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, lift, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Successfully complete required tests before starting the position.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ability to generate and process work on a computerized maintenance-management system.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated individual.

Nice To Haves

• Current Industrial Maintenance associate certification.
• Experience with ASRS machine systems, conveyor equipment, and pallet lifts.
• Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical theory.
• Experience with three-phase power, A.C. and D.C. power circuits.
• Experience with motor controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Troubleshooting experience in various electrical and industrial codes.
• Working knowledge of advanced automation control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on ASRS machines, conveyors, and pallet lifts.
• Conduct routine repairs and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Utilize meters, laptops, and other test equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Follow Publix policy, government regulations, and manufacturer requirements during maintenance activities.
