About the position

The RN Locum applies and demonstrates knowledge of the delivery of professional nursing care, including all aspects of practice, as defined by the MN Board of Nursing and reinforced in St. Lukes policies. Plans, delegates to, and organizes nursing personnel. Manages and coordinates information between patient, family and healthcare team members; provides for education of patients families and staff and evaluates outcomes. Demonstrates the applied knowledge and skills required for the practice of Emergency Nursing through collaborative and autonomous practice which reflects current standards of practice. Collaborates, supports, and provides services in all areas of the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Apply and demonstrate knowledge of professional nursing care.
• Plan, delegate, and organize nursing personnel.
• Manage and coordinate information between patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff.
• Evaluate outcomes of nursing care.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in Emergency Nursing.
• Collaborate and provide services in the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Current license in Minnesota to practice as Registered Nurse.
• Two (2) years recent Emergency care nursing experience.
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Current ATCN certification is acceptable for TNCC.
• BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider.

Nice-to-haves

• Recent experience in a Level I or II Trauma center.
• Pre-hospital EMS experience.
• Certification in emergency nursing (CEN) or emergency nurse pediatric care (ENPC).

Benefits

• $75.00 hourly rate.
