Requirements

High school diploma
Driver's License with clean driving record
OSHA10
Medical DOT Card
Prior experience operating equipment (roller, screw, compactor)
Experience with up to 10lb ton
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow directions from Foreman and Supervisors
A sound understanding of health and safety codes
A positive outlook and a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

Operate the roller and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
Safely operate roller in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling asphalt to desired compaction and smoothness
Participate and promote a team approach and maintain a positive and helpful attitude with team members
Work in a safe and responsible manner
