Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking Experienced Asphalt Roller Operators in the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area, Alabama SMA reporting to the Paving Superintendent. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety and work successfully in a team environment. Job Details: Fulltime/Permanent Day Shift Weekend work and Night Shift Operations may be required Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits

Requirements

• An uncompromising focus on safety excellence .
• Previous experience operating asphalt rollers or similar heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving operations, compaction methods, and rolling techniques.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license required
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with Rogers Group policies.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating asphalt rollers or similar heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt roller equipment to compact hot mix asphalt in accordance with project specifications.
• Follow rolling patterns, speeds, and compaction requirements to achieve proper density and smoothness.
• Coordinate with the paving crew, screed operator, and foreman to maintain consistent mat quality.
• Monitor asphalt temperature and surface conditions to ensure optimal compaction results.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance; report mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site in compliance with Rogers Group safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with other paving and labor-related tasks as needed to support crew operations and meet project schedules.
